Long before I established Helping Hand in 1998, I developed a strong work ethic working in my father’s grocery store. The way my father communicated with clients, getting to know them and really caring about their wants and needs, left an indelible impression on me.
I went on to apply this work ethic to everything I did, like achieving Gold Eagle Scout status, and spending my early years building and racing cars. I always enjoyed working with my mind and hands, which led me to work as a toolmaker for a manufacturing company for 28 years. There I learned lessons of teamwork, leadership, and what constitutes excellence in business. People also discovered I had a knack for computer systems and soon, it became a side business for serving friends and family.
I founded Helping Hand with the love and support of my wife Lorrie, who is now retired from the business. As partners in industry just as in life, we complemented each other and as I tended the business side, she helped shape our existing, positive corporate culture with her warmth and desire to help others.
I still wake up each day, looking forward to personally visiting with clients, conquering the challenges of designing new computer systems and putting down my pen when a team member needs my assistance. We help our clients in day-to-day operations and come to the rescue during those dreaded periods of downtime.
Business continues to evolve into new arenas. Information Technology is what makes that happen. If there is an interruption in IT service, it is all about reaction time. We look to be very proactive. To recognize that and to honor the urgency of our customer’s IT needs.
We help our customers sleep easy, knowing their technology is safe with us. We are honored to do it all.
Helping Hand is a place where people come first and we set out to prove it to our clients every day. We hope to get the opportunity to show you exactly what we mean.
