Long before I established Helping Hand in 1998, I developed a strong work ethic working in my father’s grocery store. The way my father communicated with clients, getting to know them and really caring about their wants and needs, left an indelible impression on me.
I went on to apply this work ethic to everything I did, like achieving Gold Eagle Scout status, and spending my early years building and racing cars. I always enjoyed working with my mind and hands, which led me to work as a toolmaker for a manufacturing company for 28 years. There I learned lessons of teamwork, leadership, and what constitutes excellence in business. People also discovered I had a knack for computer systems and soon, it became a side business for serving friends and family.
I founded Helping Hand with the love and support of my wife Lorrie, who is now retired from the business. As partners in industry just as in life, we complemented each other and as I tended the business side, she helped shape our existing, positive corporate culture with her warmth and desire to help others.
I still wake up looking forward to personally visiting a client regularly, conquering the challenge of designing a new computer system or putting down my pen when a team member needs my assistance. We help our clients in the day-to-day and come to the rescue in that dreaded period of downtime. We help people sleep easy, knowing their technology is safe with us, and we are honored to do it all.
Helping Hand is a place where people come first and we set out to prove it to our clients every day. We hope to get the opportunity to show you exactly what we mean.
As the lead project coordinator at Helping Hand, I keep the lines of communication open between our clients and our staff. I have a deep background in distribution administration, payroll and human resources, and I have been with Helping Hand since 2016. I enjoy the constant opportunity I get to step out of my comfort zone and learn something new. When I’m not at work you may find me with my husband and daughter, traveling or taking beautiful pictures. My professional self philosophy can be summarized with one simple quote from legendary NFL quarterback and businessman Roger Staubach: “There are no traffic jams along the extra mile.” Taking the time to go that extra mile is what separates Helping Hand from other IT companies!
I’ve been with Helping Hand since 2012 and enjoy my position overseeing the day-to-day operations of the support side of the company while also offering clients a Helping Hand. I have a degree in IT and I’m also VMWare and VTSP-certified. I joined Helping Hand from Navistar, where I worked in IT there as a Tier I Technical Support Specialist. I appreciate the opportunity to do a job I love and I think our greatest strength at Helping Hand is our team mentality, which keeps us ahead of the competition. I live in Pingree Grove where you can find me spending time with my family, tending the yard or playing video games.
When you call Helping Hand, I make sure you get the technical support you need, whether you need server support, training, network assessment or an IT audit. I’ve been with Helping Hand since 2012, when I completed my degree in computer networking. I’m also certified for VMware, VCA and DCV. Outside of work I enjoy woodworking and my beautiful family including my wife Jessica, Katheryn, Jameson and Katelyn.
