What is the Corona Virus?
The Coronavirus is a highly contagious virus that spreads quickly and is generally mild-unless you have low immunity and have difficulty fighting off infections. The World Health Organization states that most symptoms are as mild as a cold or flu and others who are infected never fall ill at all.
The virus is transmitted through droplets of mucus that are released when an infected person coughs, sneezes or breathes. The virus can survive for two hours up to two days on dry surfaces, and can be easily spread through handshakes and other physical contact.
How Can You Combat the Virus?
There are very simple ways to prepare yourself and avoid exposure to the virus. Washing your hands after contact with others and cleaning hard surfaces like tables, door knobs and keyboards with and disinfectant cleaner will remove the contagion from your immediate area because coronaviruses are easy to destroy.
- Purell Multi Surface Disinfectant
- Clorox 4 in 1 Disinfecting Spray
- Clorox Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner
- Lysol Brand bleach multi-purpose cleaner
- Lysol Disinfectant Spray
- Clorox Disinfectant Wipes
This week, the EPA released a five-page list of disinfectants that it says are strong enough to ward off “harder-to-kill” viruses than the coronavirus.
The EPA’s list included:

- Clorox Disinfecting Wipes

Work from Home Options for your Business
If you are operating a small business and are considering work from home options for your employees, there are many things you can do to be prepared for the possibility of employees needing or requesting to work from home.
Helping Hand IT can help you set up work from home solutions using VPN and IP Phone technology, and accessing your communications in a cloud-based environment.
For those who don’t have IP-enabled phones for your staff members, Helping Hand can help you with the installation of mobile apps that will replicate your work phones in the home environment.
Advantages to IP Phone solutions
The IP phone can replicate your office phone on a cellular device. This allows employees the freedom to work from home using an IP address that is unique to your business. Your employees may be at home, but your customers will see their calls as coming from the business office.
Dealing with an epidemic, an environmental disaster or other situation that impacts your bottom line, the key to keeping your business up and running is preparedness. Planning for the possibility that your staff will need to work remote gives your business flexibility and options.
